GED Apparatus

Inlet system

High temperature effusion cell

General view.
Cell tip with diffraction volume.
Disassembled cell.

In Ivanovo we use an r3-sector covered with ribs for increased collecting of scattered electrons.

r3 sector used in Ivanovo GED apparatus.

Diffraction patterns are measured on photographic plates and films, for example MACO EM. Normal photofilms cannot be used, since they are too sensitive. For purposes of electron diffraction photo emulsion must be of low sensitivity.
